INTERNAL INFORMATION AUDITS

CEO’s and senior management today are faced with increasing business challenges and liabilities unprecedented in history. They are entrusted with the overall guidance of the company while ensuring proper management of the company’s assets and its people. Accurate and specifically focused information and knowledge are essential to complying with this obligation.

Most managing executives currently receive information, not from a first hand basis, but after it has been filtered and interpreted by others. This information flows up from the shop floor to the supervisors, then to the mid-level managers, and on to the executive management team. One problem with this fact is that people do not like to convey bad news, which may reflect on their management success, or lack of it. Others simply do not take it upon themselves to “get involved” and follow a less risky path of being silent. This outcome often times results in senior management making decisions without critical information ñ operating with a false sense of security.

TAKING CHARGE:
Impact Investigations, Inc. is a consulting business providing senior management with an invaluable tool - an unbiased and unfettered flow of information coming directly from the operations of your organization including both plant and field locations. Our Internal Information Audits are designed to provide knowledge on the critical success factors impacting your company. An information strategy is developed which our consultants execute that will address informational needs both in general and in problem specific areas.

Critical issues that can be impacting your business include:
Inventory controls reflecting larger than acceptable shrinkage figures.
Gangs and drugs unknowingly infiltrating your work force.
Collusion
Products passed by inspectors that are not up to company standards.
Employees creating a hostile work environment with sexual harassment.
The general morale and productivity attitudes of your work force.

These are just a sampling of problems, which could be evident, or emerging right in the middle of your company. These areas of exposure provide today’s senior management with real financial liability.

Internal Information Audits are conducted in a discrete manner. Our trained team of consultants are selected based upon the unique characteristics of your company’s environment. They are pledged to provide reports that will be honest, reliable, and accurate.

Impact Investigations, Inc. can provide you with a source of information that is not obtainable from anywhere else. Knowledge is gathered on a daily basis and is delivered directly to the top executive who is controlling the investigation within a weekly-summarized report. The adage, Information is Power, has moved from being a clever phrase to one of critical strategic and financial necessity in today’s competitive and litigious business arena. The evidence of it, or lack of it, can and will impact your profits!

FACTS CONCERNING SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Sources quoted from the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce estimate that between 10% and 30% of the work force uses drugs, while 10% of non-substance abusers reported they were offered drugs while on the job.

According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, substance abuse in the work place costs American companies $100 billion per year.

Employees who use drugs are less productive by 33 percent, are absent three times as often, and are tardy three times as often. These employees will also have accidents 3.6 times as frequently, incur 300% higher medical costs, and are 5 times more likely to file worker's compensation claims. It has also been noted that employees with a substance abuse problem will steal from their companies to support a drug habit.
